Each ornament is hand painted with a set of Indigo Buntings surrounded by bright yellow coneflowers. The male bunting is a bright blue painted with multiple layers of black, blues and teals. The female bunting was so fun to paint because of the layers of golden tans and yellows with a tiny mix of teal to pair it with her partner's colors. The yellow coneflowers help contrast the brilliant color of the male and complement the little lady. I've never seen these birds before but I've read they hang out on the edge of the woods and wild fields. So hopefully, I will someday.
